As you know I have been seeking previous Independent candidates that ran in the last federal election. I have been going through a list I found on the web. Everyone I have been able to find using facebook, canada 411, and search engines is really gung ho to get this new political party going. This is getting very exciting and it appears we are very close now to having enough members to register! Soon very soon!

Interview on 570 News AM radio
Today I had the opportunity to be interviewed about CAMP and the forming of a new political party. The show had an overwhelming positive response from call in people who were very interested in knowing more. I fielded all sorts of questions and definetely created interest.
This along with our online conferences are starting to make an impact. More and more people are joining on the bandwagon now. It is exciting to see.
The next online conference will be held on March 27th at 8:30 pm and you are encouraged to join in. All you need to join in is a free download of SKYPE and a set of speakers hooked up to your computer and a microphone.
Hope to see you there

Online voting feasibility
We have been asked many times now if online voting can actually be utilized. Many people seem to think it would be difficult to implement. In an effort to find out we consulted with a Canadian company that is directly involved with setting up municipal elections for Halifax Nova Scotia. Intelivote Systems Inc. successfully conducted a municipal vote for the Halifax area. They were questioned by CAMP as to how easy it would be to do a federal election. There response was that it would be even easier than a municipal election. In fact they told us that they are presently talking with British Columbia, Ontario, and Nova Scotia in setting up provincial elections.Typically the system would be set up as follows:Each person would receive a pin number card exclusive to them that has been generated from the official voter list. This would allow electronic control of one vote per person.Online or phone in voting would begin one week before the usual walk in poll. This time period is necessary to prevent an ISP overload. The electronic voting would end, a print out would be created that would have anyone who voted electronically to be stroked off on the list. The list would be kept confidential and delivered to the walk in polling station to be used as it is presently to continue stroking off people who walk in and vote. The system is secure and simple and completely within the realm of doing. If you want more information on Intelivote here is the link to their website. http://www.intelivote.com/
